Synchron Generator Development
TEP has been granted to develop electro-machanical components for hydro electric power generation (Project #7090435). Synchronous generator is the major component of the whole system. TEP and AREL has a partnership to design and develop the synchronous generator. It is well be used in wind, consentrated solar power (CSP), and geothermal power aplications.
In such aplications, Synchronous generator output is rectified and feed into a Power System Gateway, PSG). PSG is then used for injecting power into the utility grid. PSG also has remote and local user interface for monitoring and control.
Synchronous generator could be made any size starting from 100kW to 1000kW.
